Article 138
The borders of a spring or a qanat (water channel) are 500 gaz on all sides in loose earth, and 250 gaz in hard earth; but if the distances on all sides in loose earth, and 250 gaz in hard earth; but if the distances mentioned in this and the proceeding Article are not enough to avoid loss, distances to the extent required to prevent loss shall be added to them.
